This is a research project on how to embody an empty space - can a void become a vessel ?

Jonas discovered that working with plaster molds and liquid clay was a good way to explore the concept further. A technique of carving in plaster blocks and casting clay was developed to give shape to the extension of empty space.

This is a technique that he later employed in other projects too, such as the Carved Ceramics and Flat Vessels collections, for instance.
